During Apple CEO Tim Cook's visit to China, milab member Yao Zhihao and partner Wang's Shadow Puppetry jointly presented the latest achievements of "AI shadow puppetry" to him, vividly demonstrating how the Apple ecosystem empowers the integration of traditional art and digital creation. The AI Shadow Puppet Database 2.0 was designed by milab members Li Hanxuan, Wang Xuezhu, Lu Yao and other students, and developed by Lyu Shiqing and Yao Xiwen.
A few days later, Cook once again specifically mentioned the project at the 2025 Shanghai Global Wealth Management Forum, describing it as "highly creative and of far-reaching significance". This project has been successively reported by more than ten mainstream domestic and foreign media outlets, including CCTV-2 "China Finance Report", China Daily website, Apple official, Toutiao, Xiake Island and Cook's personal Weibo.
